Join us on the evening of Friday, May 27th to celebrate and honour the artists and curators of Manuel Mathieu: World Discovered Under Other Skies and Curtis Talwst Santiago: Pay de Devil - Brang! Brang! - Pay de Devil. 

Members will have a preview of the exhibitions at 6pm with opening remarks to begin at 6:20pm. As this event is during Members' Week, Members can bring a non-Member guest for free.

Art on the Block (AOTB) is the Art Gallery of Alberta’s (AGA) annual signature fundraiser and one of Edmonton’s most exciting events of the year! OWN IT with the opportunity to bid on stunning original works of art donated by some of the most recognized visual artists in the province, as well as on unique experiences and objects donated by local businesses.

 The Curator’s Preview experience will include an exclusive pre-event mixer and tour of the auction exhibition led by Executive Director Catherine Crowston, and advanced bidding with a chance to “beat the auction”!

General Admission guests will enjoy refreshments, elevated food tastings and entertainment throughout the evening.

Add on a Premium Bar Card for exclusive access to AGA’s private Art on the Block premium cocktail lounge throughout the evening!

Exhibition Opening | Maud Lewis and Byron Samson (Mistikonapew): Place of Honour

 You’re invited! Join us for an exciting evening as we honour the works of Maud Lewis and Byron Samson at our Exhibition Opening Event! 

There is a special Members' Preview at 6pm with opening remarks at 6:20pm. The event is open to both Members and non-Members starting at 7:30pm.  

Registration is free, access to all galleries is included, and there will be a cash bar to enjoy!  

Inheritance Exhibition Opening
