The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Purple Art is all about Support

Supporting art and artists in Alberta is the mission of the AGA, and we are thrilled to have partnered with Dentons to pass on that support to young and emerging artists through the Denton’s annual Purple Art Contest. As part of the AGA’s Annual Giving Campaign to support our exhibitions and education programs, our sponsor Dentons gave emerging and student artists a chance to win up to $300 in prize money.

Donate to AGA’s Annual Giving Campaign in partnership with Dentons

Your AGA is a non-profit organization that relies on community support to be a creative hub within Alberta that inspires imaginations, engages generations and transforms people’s lives through art.

Your support this season with a monthly or one-time gift will make a lasting impact. Please consider making your charitable gift to your AGA today.
