The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory, the traditional land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Accessibility

The AGA strives to create a welcoming and accessible experience for everyone. We are committed to upholding the principles of independence and inclusion. Please see our full Accessibility Commitment.

The AGA is accessible by many forms of transportation. To learn more about how to get to the AGA, please see Directions and Parking.  Please see information about our hours and admissions as well.

Note: Due to safety concerns, the AGA LRT pedway is closed. After getting off the LRT at the Churchill Square station, please follow the signs to the City Hall Pedway and access to the ground level. We are right across the street.

For increased accessibility, the AGA's main entrance has a ramp. The AGA is also wheelchair and stroller-friendly, and companion aids are always free. Complimentary wheelchairs and folding stools are available on request at Guest Services.

See here for a map of the AGA.

Effective March 8, 2022, visitors will not be required to wear masks at the AGA. We do encourage everyone to wear a mask while also being respectful of people’s decisions around mask-wearing. Together we ensure everyone’s experience is enjoyable, inspiring and memorable. For more on COVID-19 health and safety protocol, please visit the Government of Alberta’s COVID-19 page.
