Harnessing the collective power of Alberta’s women
The Women for the AGA (Waga) Committee is a dynamic collective of women committed to building community, celebrating creativity, and expanding the reach of the Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA). United by a shared belief that art is for everyone, Waga is on a mission.
About

Mission 10,000
To harness the collective power of Albertan women to build community through engagement, events, and the celebration of art and artists. Waga is proud to champion the AGA as a cultural and creative centre, with a bold goal to help grow AGA membership from 3,500 to 10,000 by December 2026.
In Service of the AGA’s Mission:
Waga exists to advance the Art Gallery of Alberta’s mission — to create an inclusive, engaging space where people are inspired to transform their understanding of the world through art. By supporting innovative programming, community outreach, and arts advocacy, Waga ensures the AGA thrives as a space for creativity, connection, and cultural exchange.
