With a passion for mathematics, Arturo came to Canada years ago with a fellowship to do his PhD studies under one of the country’s most distinguished mathematicians. His scientific career allowed him to travel the world, always exploring with a keen eye on the different cultures and customs in front of him.
Arturo’s photography work can be found in galleries and business establishments around the world, including Argentina, where he was born.
His hard-cover book, Mathematics Photography: The mathematician who wanted to see, offers a view, with the human element as a theme, of some of Pianzola’s work over the last five years. The book, and a display of sixteen accompanying silver gelatin prints and two large digital images was exhibited by Peabody in Buenos Aires.
