The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Driving and parking

The Arts District is a vibrant place—street access may change depending on festivals and events downtown. Check for detours on the City of Edmonton transportation website or EPark: metered parking information and app.

There are metered on-street parking stalls right outside (south) of our building. Alternatively, we recommend visitors to park in the City Hall Parkade (entrance at 99 street) where there are five accessible stalls.

You can also find more information about parking options here.

Public transit: take ETS to the AGA and save

Skip the hassle of parking and get a $3 discount on the full price of a regular admission.

LRT:  There are two exits. Please follow the signs to:

(1) The City Hall Pedway. The AGA is right across the street.
(2) The Churchill Connector. This exit is on the southeast corner of Churchill Square, directly across the Winspear. It has escalators and elevators. The AGA is just across the northeast corner Churchill Square.
* Note: Currently, the AGA LRT pedway is closed due to safety concerns.

Bus: Multiple routes stop near Sir Winston Churchill Square. Plan your trip with the ETS route planner.

To get a discount on your full admission ticket price (when all the exhibitions are open), present your validated ARC card, ETS ticket, transfer, day pass or bus pass at Member and Guest Services.

Validated ticket, transfer or day pass must be for the same day as admission. Not valid with any other AGA special event, promotion or discounted admission.

Cycling

Your AGA is easily accessible by many bike lanes in downtown Edmonton. As construction is always changing in downtown Edmonton, we recommend planning your route through the City of Edmonton’s “Discover YEG Map” here or through Google Maps and selecting “Cycling” as your mode of transportation. There are bike racks on the Southeast side of the building along 102A Ave; please note these are not monitored. There is also bike parking across the street at City Hall.
