Mission

The Art Gallery of Alberta is a museum dedicated to excellent and innovative practice in programming, stewardship, and presentation of visual arts in Western Canada and across the nation. The Art Gallery of Alberta creates a welcoming and engaging environment where people are motivated to transform their understanding of the world by connecting with the visual arts.

Vision

The Art Gallery of Alberta envisions a future in which we will be the creative hub of Alberta, inspiring imaginations, engaging generations and transforming people’s lives through art.
 

The Art Gallery of Alberta is a not-for-profit organization that relies on the support of its Members, donors, sponsors and government. The AGA is grateful for the generous support of the many public and private donors and sponsors who have made the AGA’s New Vision possible, as well as the ongoing support of the City of Edmonton, the Edmonton Arts Council, the  Alberta Foundation for the ArtsThe Canada Council for the Arts and our Members.
