The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Refinery: Rave to the Grave

Sponsored by

Get ready to Rave to the Grave! Come witness the Haunting that is taking place at the Art Gallery of Alberta (AGA) on October 29 and dance the night away at the AGA's Halloween Refinery party. The underground crypt has been unlocked and all the spirits, ghosts, and undead that plague the Gallery have been freed.

This is going to be the biggest Halloween party yet. Discover and explore all levels of the Gallery. This will be an evening filled with artists, eerie interactive stations, DJs on the blacklight dancefloor, performances by local drag and burlesque legends, premium lounge, specialty cocktails and our signature costume contest.

Refinery, an art party for all, is the AGA's signature event and has been a staple on Edmonton's cultural calendar for over a decade. Unleash your inner artist at the AGA after dark. All galleries will be open late with a special focus on our current exhibition Conjured Images: Spirit Photography from the turn of the 20th Century, presented by Capital Power, which looks at ghostly images and the spiritualism surrounding their history.

Dress code: The AGA is the best place to be to showcase your unique, extravagant, sexy, fun, scary and over-the-top costumes. Looks that are ghostly or inspired by our current exhibition Conjured Images are also welcomed. If you are entering the costume contest, please arrive by 11pm for a chance to win the grand prize!

The AGA is a welcoming, inclusive and safe place. We value all our guests, whether you self-identify as a member of the LGBTQ2S, visible minority, or part of marginalized communities. The AGA has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination of any kind. This program is an 18 plus party.

This event is brought to you by our presenting sponsor Langham Developments Ltd. We are now sold out.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: Tickets are fully refundable before October 10. Tickets are not refundable starting October 11.
