February Vibe featured artist: K-Riz By: Lindsay Chopiuk

Toronto-born, Edmonton-based hip-hop artist K-Riz builds bridges with his music. Creating music that reflects hip hop from Canada’s East and West, the melodic MC mixes progressive hip hop with elements of 90s R&B. Having grown up in a musical family, K-Riz has been creating music since his early teens, and up until recently, he’s kept his music to himself.

You may remember Victoria as one of the first points of contact at Guest Services. Her friendly demeanor and extensive knowledge of the gallery made her a favourite among guests, members and anyone else who walked through the AGA doors.

A closing look at Altmejd’s captivating Vessel

Written by Lynda Vang Haunting, complex, detailed and nuanced—David Altmejd: The Vessel is an impressive, Plexiglas sculpture that exemplifies movement, transformation and the act of artistic creation. Organized by the National Gallery of Canada as a part of the NGC@AGA exhibition series, David Altmejd: The Vessel mesmerised audiences during its run (October 8, 2016–January 29, 2017).
