Asian Heritage Month: Cinema For Seniors | 'Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry'

Join us on May 12 for a special Cinema for Seniors screening of the documentary Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry that documents the life Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei.  

This film program is dedicated to seniors and is followed by a friendly group discussion with tea and treats. The film will be screened in our Ledcor theatre in English. 

This program is a little over 2 hours in length, with the film being 91 minutes long and the discussion following for 30 minutes. If you are a senior looking to partake in art experiences and meet fellow life-long learners, this program is for you. Entrance to the program is $5 with no one turned away due to lack of funds. Barrier free access can be accessed online by selecting the appropriate Barrier Free ticket, or by coming to the gallery and requesting the Barrier Free ticket.  

This program is part of the Asian Heritage Month program at the Art Gallery of Alberta.  

Ai Weiwei – 2012 – 91 Minutes 

Ai Weiwei (b. 1957, Beijing) is among the world’s most celebrated contemporary artists. His sculptures, photographs, installations, and public artworks often repurpose traditional Chinese forms and materials to address today’s most pressing social concerns.
