Cinema for Seniors | 'Cutie and the Boxer' (2013)

Are you a senior looking for unique art experiences, love film and meeting fellow life-long learners? Please join us on Friday, May 10 at 2pm for our next Cinema for Seniors, a monthly film matinee programmed by our Aging Artfully Advisory Committee.  

This month, our feature film is Cutie and the Boxer (2013). This film is 82 minutes, rated 14A and will be screened in our Ledcor Theatre located in the lower level of the Gallery. Following the film, we invite participants to partake in a lively discussion with light refreshments in one of our education studios. 

Entrance to the program is $5 with no one turned away due to lack of funds. Barrier-free access can be accessed online by selecting the appropriate Barrier Free ticket, or by coming to the AGA and requesting the Barrier Free ticket.   

About the Film 

Cutie and the Boxer (2013) is a candid New York love story explores the chaotic 40-year marriage of famed boxing painter Ushio Shinohara and his wife, Noriko. Anxious to shed her role as her overbearing husband's assistant, Noriko finds an identity of her own.
