Join us for our Cinema for Seniors screening of Maker of Monsters: The Extraordinary Like of Beau Dick (2017).
Are you a senior looking for unique art experiences, love film and meeting fellow life-long learners? Please join us on Friday, June 14 at 2pm for our next Cinema for Seniors, a monthly film matinee programmed by our Aging Artfully Advisory Committee.
This month, our feature film is Maker of Monsters: The Extraordinary Life of Beau Dick (2017). This film is 92 minutes, rated 18+ and will be screened in our Ledcor Theatre located in the lower level of the Gallery. Following the film, we invite participants to partake in a lively discussion with light refreshments in one of our education studios.
Entrance to the program is $5 with no one turned away due to lack of funds. Barrier-free access can be accessed online by selecting the appropriate Barrier Free ticket, or by coming to the AGA and requesting the Barrier Free ticket.
About the Film: Maker of Monsters: The Extraordinary Life of Beau Dick (2017) documents the unique life of the legendary Canadian wood carving artist, Beau Dick. Following his life from the Northwest Coast of British Columbia through his artistic process and carving his celebrated one-of-a-kind masks. Explore his connections to his culture, art, and community in this wonderful documentary film.
