The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Holiday Light Up

The holiday season is here! The AGA is celebrating by participating in the Downtown Business Association’s Holiday Light Up! Join us in Churchill Square on Nov. 20, Dec. 4, and Dec. 18 from 1-3pm. Come learn how to weave a snowflake with yarn and enjoy the giant holiday tree.

Other highlights include:

  • Dec. 4 & 18, 11am-3pm: Our new restaurant May will be offering a special brunch service.
  • Dec. 18, 11am-5pm:  ShopAGA will be hosting a “Garage Sale” in the Atrium & Manning Hall. This is a chance to enjoy some amazing deals on a variety of items sold in our gallery shop. The garage sale will run from 11am to 5pm.
