The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Community Tour of ‘Between Things: Alberta Ceramics’ with Lori Fossum from the Edmonton Potters Guild

Join us in welcoming the president of the Edmonton Potters Guild and ceramic expert Lori Fossum, who will lead a tour of the exhibition Between Things: Alberta Ceramics. This tour is happening during our monthly FREE night at the AGA, which happens the last Thursday of the month from 4-7pm.

About the Edmonton Potters Guild: Since 1952, the Edmonton Potters Guild has given inspiring students and full fledged artists a home to create, share ideas and produce art with some amazing results. EPG is a place where the art of pottery is learned, preserved and promoted in a supportive environment. Learn more here.

About the Exhibition: At a moment when ceramics are everywhere, Between Things: Alberta Ceramics includes sculptures and installations made by contemporary artists committed to clay to ask how ceramics can activate our experience of and relationship to the world around us. Organized by the Art Gallery of Alberta and co-curated by Lindsey Sharman and Diana Sherlock. This exhibition is presented by the Poole Centre of Design.

About Community Tours: Our Community Tour Series invites a new speaker each month to lead a tour of a current exhibition, giving our audience a unique perspective on the artwork on display.
