Bios

Rudy Roman is a Physics teacher by day and dance floor enthusiast by night! His love of music translates into an ever-evolving playlist and his love for seeing happy faces on the dance floor means that he is always reading the room and playing to the crowd. As part of a local DJ group he enjoys thrilling crowds with the latest Nu Disco, House and Electronic sounds. At other local night spots, he has hyped up packed rooms with his favorite Hip Hop and Moombahton tracks. Through his company, Foundry Entertainment Supply Co., he has become a staple fixture at many of local events. From posh private parties and night spots, modern Indie weddings, to big corporate shindigs Rudy has his finger on the pulse of what gets people up and moving!

Fortune Writer is the live version of receiving a Fortune Cookie but far more enticing and even more sweet. A participant poses a question or provides a topic and the Fortune Writer crafts a completely unique fortune on the spot on one of her beautiful typewriters. The typewriter becomes the crystal ball, offering the recipient insight, a glimpse of hope, or guidance.

Andrea Yacyshyn is multi-disciplinary being working heavily in the area of feelings and connection. A dancer at heart, writer by passion, and intuitive empath by nature, she combines a lifetime of knowledge to help others see the magic in the everyday and themselves. Let's get mystical.

Firefly Theatre is known for thought-provoking thrills and stunning displays of athleticism and grace.  Alberta’s award-winning Aerial Circus Performance Company has captivated audiences at festivals and events throughout North America and beyond, including the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D. C., the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and Canada Day in London, England.

We perform on the ground and in the air, creating original live performances that fuse the genres of circus and theatre.  Our productions have taken place inside theatres, museums, convention centres and nightclubs, outside in squares and intersections, and in the air suspended from buildings.  Firefly Theatre’s work is unique in Alberta and has been described as “spectacular and breathtaking,” The Sun,“gorgeous and terrifying,” Vue Weekly and “fresh, funny, neck-craning spectacles,” The Journal.

The company has been honoured with a City of Edmonton Excellence Award in Arts and Culture, a Mayor’s Award for Innovative Artistic Direction, and the inaugural Edmonton Event Awards – Best Entertainer, 2016.  In February of 2018, Firefly’s Artistic Director Annie Dugan was honoured as Global TV’s Woman of Vision.
