Seeking new methods of community connection to place, emerging designers from Edmonton and Calgary will work with the non-profit research cooperative Cohabitation Strategies to collectively produce a community connection.

This exhibition will explore underlying structures shaped by the relationship to the land that have influenced the design of our built environment.

This exhibition features works from two photographic series created by Hubert Hohn in the 1970s, at that time, an Edmonton-based photographer.

In 1987, Fischli and Weiss created a 100-foot long chain reaction masterwork of cause and effect, precision and technical finesse. In 2012, Ibghy and Lemmens documented a laborious process of assembling, stacking and attempting to balance mundane office equipment. These two films tell two sides of a story–of human ingenuity, industry, and aspiration—and our obsession with success and the inevitability of failure.
