EDMONTON, AB | Elen has always loved antique and vintage items, particularly jewelry, purses, glass and ceramics.
When the pandemic hit and everyone was sent indoors, she took the opportunity to create her company, Curious Effie. Named after her ever-inquisitive daughter, she wanted to not only share some of her amazing finds, but also the story of the item as well. The history of the object has always fascinated Elen. She loves interacting with her buyers and sometimes hears stories about why they are purchasing the item, often with nostalgia attached to it.
A collection of vintage and antique objects, including jewelry and purses is available at ShopAGA in celebration of the Art Gallery of Alberta's 100th Birthday Celebration in 2024.
