EDMONTON, AB | A fiber artist, creating one-of-a-kind wearable items, Amy pays homage to her late Grandparents, Jim & Shirley, through her company, Cardinal Yarn. Her grandma was an artist, and a founding member of Regina's Brushworks Artists Guild. The walls of her grandparents home were covered with her art, with the frames custom made by her grandpa, in the basement. Growing up, she loved visiting their home. It wasn't until she came into adulthood that she understood why going to see them was so special. They encouraged her to be creative and try new things.
Her grandpa's favorite bird was the Cardinal... hence the name.
