Antique Bottles

Most of the photographs I take are things that I find in their natural state. Occasionally I’ll move a stone or a bit of grass, or remove a bit of trash. This, however, is a completely staged photograph. I was intrigued by the light illuminating the antique bottles on the window sill in our kitchen but they weren’t in a spot that would photograph well. So, I moved them to a window in an adjacent room, arranged them so they’d mimic the angle of the light falling on the house next door and waited. Then it was just a simple matter of pressing the shutter when the angle of the light behind them was right.
