Jay Dontae's art can be best described as a deconstruction of his dreams and influences. His paintings blur the lines between classic fine art, anime, pop culture and his own personal experiences... all layered behind tales of hope and nostalgia. His distinct style can be noted by his explorative deconstruction of the human form, his vibrant colour palette, his ability to mesh and contrast beautiful yet harsh aesthetics, and his use of characters to push narratives. Dontae is currently working on his first major art collection and has plans to unveil a legion of art pieces through 2020 and beyond.
