Tim Rechner grew up in Red Deer, Alberta. He lived there till he was twenty years old completing the first three years of his bachelor of fine arts at Red Deer College. Rechner finished his studies at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 2000. He spent time in Vancouver and Montreal before establishing a studio practice in Edmonton in 2001. He is an active resident of ArtsHab – a unique live work studio environment in downtown Edmonton.
