Stephanie Jonsson is a sculptor from Edmonton, AB, Canada. Her work explores themes such as heteronormative patriarchy and fabricated ecologies through the lens of craft media such as ceramics and textiles, and recently cast candy and video. Stephanie graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Sculpture. In 2009, she received the Award of Achievement from the Alberta Craft Council for outstanding efforts in ceramics and was listed among Avenue Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40” in Edmonton. In 2012, Stephanie completed her Master of Applied Arts degree at Emily Carr University in Vancouver, BC. She is now the full- time continuing Sculpture technician at the University of Alberta.
