Patty was born in 1973 in London, Ontario. She minoring in Art and Design, she graduated from the University of Alberta with her BA in psychology in1996. Patty maintains art studios in Vancouver, DeCourcy Island (in the Strait of Georgia), and Shuswap Lake, British Columbia, where she draws much of her inspiration for her work. Patty emphasizes her colour and media in her work, using bold colour and paint handling to convey strong moods and create striking landscape works depicting her surroundings.
