Meet the Artist

Artist Statement

Painting is a journey
Clearing my mind enabling the medium to speak
Natural surroundings constantly provide guidance and inspiration
Nature stimulates yet it has a sense of peace that invites exploration
The unknown becomes the challenge motivating me to explore
Orderliness of trees with their strong shapes
Intricate layers of flower petals and limitless spectrum of colour
The illusion of the tangle chaos of plants balanced by the shapes of berries and seed pods
Fascination of the way light plays on objects creating shapes and shadows
Using a limited pallet to express what I see
My work evolves with each stroke like magic
Nature truly is the master painter
