Giuseppe Albi

Edmonton-based abstract artist Giuseppe Albi has been a longstanding and proud member of the Canadian art scene since first showing in the late 1960's. Albi studied at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary and L’Ecole des Beaux Arts in Montréal, starting as a sculptor before finding success as an abstract painter. upon completing his studies, Albi worked and showed in Amsterdam and London before finally returned to Edmonton in 1974. Working in a variety of media, Albi's works shift from acrylic on polystyrene and canvas to 3-dimensional objects, with a focus and sensitivity towards abstract colour.
