Gerald Faulder was born in Edmonton and graduated from the University of Alberta with a BFA in 1982. His career has been built on his vivid and sensitively rendered landscapes, inspired from his travels across the province, but his practice also encompasses floral still life and intensively paint-worked abstracts in jagged shapes. Faulder has exhibited in numerous solo and group shows and his work can be found in many private, corporate and public collections including the AGA, the AFA, the Winspear Centre, the Mayor’s Office in Edmonton, and the Canada Council.
The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.
