Brenda Draney

Brenda Draney is from the Sawridge First Nation, and currently lives and works in Edmonton. She completed an MA in painting at Emily Carr University in Vancouver, as well as Bachelor degrees in English and Painting at the University of Alberta. She received the RBC Canadian Painting Competition Award in 2009, was long-listed for the Sobey Art Award in 2013 and short-listed to represent the Prairies region in 2016. Draney was also a recipient of the Eldon and Anne Foote Visual Arts Prize in 2014.
