Set during the height of the First World War, Passchendaele tells the story of Sergeant Michael Dunne, a wounded soldier whose rehabilitation in a military hospital in Calgary leads him back to the battle fields for the third battle of Ypres, commonly known as ‘Passchendaele.’ One hundred years later, the 1917 Battle of Passchendaele continues to symbolize both the bravery of the Canadian forces and the senseless carnage of the First World War.
