Shift
Shift includes the works of two senior women artists. Marie Lannoo’s paintings and sculptures depict the complexity of light. Katie Ohe’s kinetic sculptures engage touch and perception.
This exhibition brings together the works of two senior women artists working on the prairies. Marie Lannoo’s paintings and sculptures depict the complexity and subtlety of light. Katie Ohe’s kinetic sculptures engage touch and perception.
This exhibition is organized by the Art Gallery of Alberta and curated by Lindsey Sharman.
Temporal
Temporal brings together the photography of Alison Rossiter and the sculpture of Catherine Burgess. Burgess carves delicate shapes out of thin air and plays with perception. Rossiter uses expired photo paper to create abstract works that encapsulate vast timescales between when the antique photo paper expired when she exposed it. Temporal both concretizes and dissolves notions of time and space.
