The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Probably, Plausibly, Possibly

Probably, Plausibly, Possibly is the newest iteration of our Children’s Gallery seeking to imagine what the AGA will be another 100 years into the future. Kids and families step into a time machine where they listen to and hear what is happening in a future world. As co-creators of the future, kids participate in reflective art activities to cultivate a vision and path forward.

Organized by the Art Gallery of Alberta, curated by Dara Armsden and showcased in the AGA’s Children’s Gallery.

Bios

Jaime Calayo is an Edmonton-based designer with over a decade’s worth of expertise in visual design, public engagement and community organizing. His love for supporting community-based initiatives ensures that the community is at the heart of all the projects he pursues. The practice of strategic foresight is a driver to some of Jaime’s work as he uses foresight as a way not to predict futures but rather to imagine the wide array of possibilities communities could explore. Jaime believes the answers to our most complex problems lie within communities and that the best way to surface those ideas is through public engagement that inspires people to tap into their creativity.
