Film Night at the AGA | 'Polyester' presented in Smell-O-Vision

Join us on for a special Interactive version of our monthly film program on Thursday December 8th at the Art Gallery of Alberta. We are screening the film Polyester in SMELL-O-VISION by cult classic filmmaker John Waters starring Divine. This film screening includes interactive scratch and sniff cards that correspond with scenes in the film turning it into an olfactory experience. If you love queer cinema, camp and more, make sure to stop by,

This screening is $10 or free for AGA Members. This Screening is part of the AGA’s programming the exhibition Scents of Movement, Scents of Place on now at the AGA.

About Polyester

Polyester stars Divine as Francine Fishpaw, a neglected and unhappy Baltimore housewife with a heart of gold and an acute sense of smell. Her life takes turn for the worse due to awful cheating husband, and rebellious teen children who are terrorizing the town and making Francine’s life more difficult then ever!

About Film Night: Film Night is part of AGA’s public programming that highlights themes from current exhibitions or social and cultural affairs. Join us on the second Thursday of each month for a screening of film that may be missed on the big screen. If you would like to be notified about upcoming films or to suggest a film for screening, please email Michael at Michael.Magnussen@youraga.ca. Alternatively, you can subscribe to our E-News or follow us @youraga on social media to get the latest news.
