The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

BMO World of Creativity: Atelier

AGAAtelier

Fashioned after a maker space or fab lab, Atelier is a creation space for you to explore, experiment and problem-solve. Use analog and digital animation techniques to make simple animations, build sets and record your story.

Get inspired by upcoming and ongoing conversations about Canada’s history and investigate what Canada means to you. Take time to reflect on historical and cultural factors that shape our collective understanding of this country while finding ways to share your personal stories and hopes for the future.

Artists in the space assist families in deepening their knowledge of animation through ongoing workshops and pop-ups, scheduled throughout the year.

The BMO World of Creativity is an interactive, hands-on space where children and their grown-ups can explore their creativity. BMO World of Creativity exhibitions and themes change from year-to-year.
