The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Film Screening | The Terrestrial and the Universal - A Short Film Program

Join us for a special one-night screening of our short film program The Terrestrial and the Universal which showcases films by Alberta based artists which have been on display at the Art Gallery of Alberta on our outdoor screen. Join us on January 13th to enjoy the entire program from the comfort of our theatre as we celebrate these amazing filmmakers.

The Terrestrial and the Universal is a series of paired films that have been selected for their complementary or contrasting visuals, subjects, production techniques, or media. Many have abstract or non-linear narratives with hypnotic visuals and repeating rhythms that will draw you in.

This in-person program requires advance tickets to be purchased, due to the space limitations registration is limited. Tickets are $10 or Free for AGA Members.

The Terrestrial and the Universal is programmed by Lindsey Sharman and Danielle Siemens.
