The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Community Tour of 'Road Trip' by Lincoln Ho from Yegventures

This month we are excited to have Lincoln Ho, digital creator and blogger with Yegventures lead a tour of the exhibition Road Trip. This tour is happening during our monthly free night at the AGA, which happens the last Thursday of the month from 4-7pm.

You can participate in this free program in-person; registration is recommended but not required.

About the Speaker

Lincoln Ho is a digital creator behind the popular social media account @yegaventures. He is an expert in capturing fun and captivating local events and sites to see in Edmonton and beyond.

About Road Trip

This exhibition features almost 100 works of art from the AGA collection that represent some of the most iconic images of the road trip: vehicles, highways, hotels, landscape vistas and popular destinations. Including work in all media, the exhibition takes us on a drive through scenes from both our past and present. The works are both representational and fantastical, with artists documenting the world around us and creating new landscapes and imaginary vistas.

Road Trip is organized by the Art Gallery of Alberta and curated by Catherine Crowston.

About Community Tours: Our Community Tour Series invites a new speaker each month to lead a tour of a current exhibition, giving our audience a unique perspective on the artwork on display. Community Tours are organized by Michael Magnussen, Public Programs and Outreach Coordinator, through the Education and Learning Department at the AGA.
