
Join us for a curator’s tour by MJ Belcourt Moses of the exhibition George Littlechild: Here I am – Can you see Me? at the Art Gallery of Alberta on March 12th at 2:00pm. Here I am – Can you see Me? is an exhibition that features a series of twenty-two drawings of First Nations children who may have perished while attending residential school in Maskwacis AB. The exhibition gives remembrance, recognition, honour, and validation to the thousands of innocent children who lost their lives while attending residential school.
You can participate in this hour-long program both in-person and online through watching our Zoom livestream. Registration is encouraged for guests attending in person, due to the space limitations, number of guests is limited. We will keep a small number of tickets available at the door as well. This curator’s talk is included in the price of general admission to the gallery or free for members. The livestream of the artist talk is free and will require advance registration as well. After the curator’s talk there will be time for a live Q&A with the audience.
This exhibition is organized by the Art Gallery of Alberta and curated by MJ Belcourt Moses. Presented by Capital Powered Art, an exhibition series sponsored by the Capital Power Corporation.

About MJ
MJ is a traditional Métis artist, certified Native Cultural Art instructor and most recently served as Indigenous Art Consultant for Fort Edmonton Park and Indigenous Curator for the Edmonton Public Library. In 2019, MJ served as an Indigenous Artist in Residency with the City of Edmonton.
