The AGA is happy to offer a free, off-site tour of the current exhibition Birds & Beasts: Wearing Honour and Order in the Qing Dynasty at the Mactaggart Art Collection located at the University of Alberta (University of Alberta Museums Gallery A
TELUS International Centre, 11104 87th Ave, U of A North Campus, Edmonton, AB).
The tour will begin at the entrance of the TELUS International Centre, where a member of the AGA team will be waiting for you.
This one-hour tour of the exhibition, Birds & Beasts: Wearing Honour and Order in the Qing Dynasty, with the curator will explore the history of the Qing Dynasty and its social ranks display through dress and art, as well as the processes of collections care and how objects in the collection are preserved. Following the tour, participants are encouraged to take the LRT* to the AGA where they will be offered a Highlights tour of contemporary Asian artists currently on display at the Art Gallery of Alberta.
*Transportation from the UofA campus to the AGA is at the expense of the participants.
