The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Summer ArtBreak Camps | Creative Hearts (Ages 9-12)

Where does creativity come from? Why do we feel compelled to create? What makes art, well…ART? This camp dives into the heart of art and creativity to better understand expression and meaning in art. In this process-driven camp, Campers will experiment with materials such as paint, textiles and fibre, wood carving, etc. in original ways and on unconventional surfaces to bring their unique creative vision to light.
