From 5pm to 7pm, come to the AGA and see our exhibitions, listen to music, hang out, participate in our Art Material Swap and then watch the film Art School Confidential at 6pm. You can also visit our exhibitions, including the highly popular From Warhol to Banksy!
This is a great opportunity to visit the AGA, learn about the programs and resources we have for students throughout the year and meet fellow students. Students get FREE access to the Art Gallery of Alberta by simply presenting a student card - please visit the AGA all year round!
About The Art Material Swap
The Art Material Swap is like a traditional clothing swap. To participate, simply bring some unused or lightly used art material in good condition that will be placed on a table for people to ‘swap’, and pick up some materials that someone else is no longer interested in.
*Please note: Not all material can be accepted, and items should be in a useable and clean condition. Though many items can be used as an art supply we would like to encourage materials that would be used more readily by an art student. Pens, Paper, Paint, Paint Brushes, Markers, Unused Small Canvases, charcoal, clay, conte, glue, ink pads, pastels, pencil crayons, tape etc. Please limit the number of materials for the swap. When the program is over, the leftover materials will be collected by the AGA, and disbursed or disposed of, so please be mindful when submitting materials to the swap.
