About Gloria Mok:
Gloria Mok was born in Hong Kong. She worked as a physician and became interested in art subsequently.
Throughout her career Gloria’s approach to art has been experimental; she used a number of media including photography, collage, drawing, installation. She has explored various subjects in science and nature. She had solo shows in a number of venues including Alberta Gallery of Art (2002, 2018), Kootenay Art Gallery (2024), McMullen Gallery (2023), Scott Gallery (2017, 2018). Her publications include “Lost World” (2023) funded by Canada Council of the Arts, “Journey into the Anthropocene” (2018) received an “Award of Excellence” from the University and College Designers Association in USA. Her works are in the collection of Alberta Art Foundation, University of Alberta Hospital, City of St. Albert and the Art Gallery of Alberta.
