Tours for Tots

Children and parent making crafts
Explorations for families and children aged 3–5

Every Wednesday at 10am ONLINE

Tours for Tots is a weekly online art exploration for children ages 3-5 and their parents, consisting of playful activities, whimsical storytelling and hands-on art-making. Our aim is to create a dynamic program which fosters meaningful relationships, community awareness, well-being, visual literacy and creative expression.

Each week features a different theme and a new opportunity to be creative together.

A special thank-you to the EPCOR Heart + Soul Fund for supporting our online initiatives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you offer in-person programming in 2021?

We hope to as we dearly miss our little friends! We are constantly assessing the impact of the pandemic and reviewing current restrictions. When it is safe and permissible to gather, we are excited to welcome families to the AGA for in-person programming.

Do caregivers need to be present?

We encourage parents and caregivers to participate alongside their budding artists. Activities are created with all participants in mind and are meant to foster a creative relationship. In addition, we may need you to help with at-home technical support from time to time.

How long is the online version of Tours for Tots?

Our online session is an easy 30 minutes and includes all the activities and adventures you know and love from our in-person programs.

I don’t feel comfortable using the camera feature; can we still participate in the program?

Yes! While we would love to see your faces, we are able to present the program without a visual.

Do we have to register each week?

Yes, in order to receive the meeting link, you will have to register for each class you wish to partake in.

Will you be recording these online sessions?

No, our sessions are live and are not recorded. If you miss our 10am start time, we have plenty of videos and art projects over on our YouTube channel to explore!

Why are you using Google Meet?

In addition to being accessible, free and reliable, we like that we can interact with our favorite families. Participants will need to have the Google Meet or Gmail apps to access the event.

What materials do I need in order to participate?

Each week, we will use some of the following materials: Pencil, eraser, paint, water, a cloth, napkins, pencil crayons, oil pastels, paper, scissors, cardboard pieces, plasticine and a small-lidded container with random pieces and loose parts.
