Cinema For Seniors | Pina

Join us on August 4 for our monthly Cinema for Seniors screening of the 2011 documentary Pina in our Ledcor Theatre. This screening is part of public programming for our current exhibition Dance Party.

After the film will be a 30-minute discussion, including tea and treats for all guests. Entrance to the program is $5 with no one turned away due to lack of funds. Barrier-free access can be accessed online by selecting the appropriate Barrier-free ticket, or by coming to the gallery and requesting the Barrier Free ticket.

Pina (2011, 106 Minutes)

Directed by Wim Wenders, Pina is a tribute to German dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch. On June 30, 2009, during preparation for the project, Bausch died unexpectedly. While Wenders cancelled the project, the dancers of Bausch's company (Tanztheater Wuppertal) convinced him to proceed as planned, to memorialize Bausch and some of her choreography.

If you have any questions or concerns about the content, questions on accessibility, or If you would like to be notified about upcoming films or to suggest a film for screening, please email Michael at Michael.Magnussen@youraga.ca.
