The next in our Community Tour series will be led by members of the Keepers of the Athabasca group from Slave Lake. 

Li Salay, is an exhibition of art works all about the sun! Join together to make a collaborative sculpture and take away a smaller artwork for your own.  Together we’ll make something amazing!

Inspired by the themes and organic elements found in current exhibition focused on the work of Métis artists from across Canada, Li Salay (Michif for “the sun”), use materials like wire, wood, and plaster bandages to create a small abstract sculpture.

Expand your gesture drawing to the next level, by investigating tonal and contour drawing. Learn how gesture can be a foundation for drawings with greater substance and detail. Tips and tricks to ‘see’ and draw correct proportions will help you build your drawing skills.  

The delight is in the details! Consider Hubert Hohn’s Edmonton Entrances and Suburban Landscapes as a story of local domestic architecture and how we often miss the details of things we see everyday. Turn Hohn’s photographs into multilayered reductive block prints of your own design, in order to tell a familiar story about your home.

Join us, and 100 of your new friends, at your AGA for a special night designed by teens for teens. SWARM is the perfect opportunity to see what’s happening at the AGA, make friends with similar interests and be creative.

Bring in your favourite picture of yourself, a friend or family member.  Make a finger painting of the photo, then share a story about your new art work.

Time to celebrate the start of summer! After spending some time outside doing some sketches “en plein air”, come back to the studio to recreate your findings using plasticine as your paint! Squish, smoosh, and massage your way into a unique and summery artwork.
