Studio Y: Self-Portraits

Artists have been taking #selfies forever and now it’s your turn! Choose a material that best represents your identity right now - will it be a pencil on paper? How about collage? Watercolour? A sculpture made out of puzzle pieces? Let your personality shine through and share that brightness with the world!

Sophie has a BA Honors in Drama, having wanted to study art & performance in a way that would bring together all aspects of art (historical, theoretical and practical.) Outside of the AGA, Sophie works as a theatre artist (playwright, collaborator, and performer) with a special interest in theatre for young audiences. Sophie wants to help create a supportive and open environment for students to create art. Having worked with the AGA for more than three years, Sophie loves sharing and facilitating new experiences in which people are invited and encouraged to discover. For her, the AGA is a place to learn new things every single day whether it is from other members of the education team or from the students themselves.
