In this edition of Hello, My Name is Art we invite you to join us in the exhibition LandMark: A New Chapter Acquisition Project for a deep looking session focused on the exhibition and acquisition at the Art Gallery of Alberta.
Hello, My Name is Art is a new program focused on close looking and collaborative learning. Getting to know a work of art is like getting to know a new friend – sometimes it is love at first sight and sometimes it takes time, the right questions and a little bit of patience to understand one another. Spend time getting to know one artwork in hour long introductory sessions with AGA staff. Learn how to improve your looking skills and what questions to ask of any artwork and of yourself
This session will be led by Head of Exhibitions and Collections Management at the Art Gallery of Alberta, Laura Ritchie.
