Day of the Dead celebration with Casa Mexico

Location
Manning Hall

Join community group Casa Mexico and Ximena Gonzalez and Alberto Susano from Mictlan Arts & Research to celebrate Day of the Dead with a performance inspired by Mexican traditions and stories.

The Day of the Dead is a Mexican celebration dedicated to the dead. Watch as the Catrina and an entity at the crossroads of death portray the reunion of life and death on the Day of the Dead. This exciting performance will include songs, legends and images creating a succession of poems in motion. You'll also get the chance to sample Mexican hot chocolate and pan de muerto, which translates to the "bread of the dead".

As an #ActivateAGA program, this performance will be free, but we recommend you pay gallery admission to enjoy exploring all of our exhibitions and make a day of it!
