The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

Community Tour | From Here, Convening Place

Free event during Thursday All Access Evening
6-7pm (3rd floor)

Join us at your AGA for a Community Tour of From Here, Convening Place. This series presents visitors with unique perspectives on the stories and history told in the exhibition.

This evening we are thrilled to welcome Councillor Scott McKeen! McKeen is in his second term as the councillor for Ward 6, which encompasses the greater downtown and some of Edmonton's most historic neighbourhoods. Prior to his election in 2013, McKeen was a reporter and columnist with The Edmonton Journal, covering everything from civic politics to crime. He is known as an advocate for mental health, reconciliation and evidence-based policy decisions.
