The Art Gallery of Alberta respectfully acknowledges that we are located in Treaty 6 Territory and Region 4 of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We respect this as the traditional and contemporary  land of diverse Indigenous Peoples including the Plains Cree, Woodland Cree, Beaver Cree, Nitsitapi/Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Anishinaabe/Saulteaux/Ojibwe and Dene Peoples. We also acknowledge the many Indigenous, Inuit and Métis people who make Alberta their home today.

6-7 pm (3rd floor)
Maximum tour capacity 30 people

This evening we are thrilled to welcome Dusty LeGrande, a local designer and founder of Mobilize Waskawewin, to lead our first community tour of Boarder X

Dusty is a human being, a father, a clothing designer and Indigenous. Through his streetwear brand Mobilize, Dusty focuses on empowering, educating and showing perspectives on Indigenous peoples and history. His message is one of creating an inclusive future in which all are unified in sustaining Mother Earth.

Dusty has also been instrumental in the activation of Boarder X when he and three artists from iHuman painted the Vans halfpipe, which was installed in the AGA’s Manning Hall and available for skate clinics and open skate during the exhibition’s opening weekend. Check out the AGA’s Facebook page for photos of the half pipe! https://tinyurl.com/y37s5mt3
