Wednesday December 13 is a very busy night at your AGA.

Pop-up Poetry

It all starts with a pop-up poetry performance from@BreathinPoetry at 6pm.

Join Edmonton’s Poet Laureate, Ahmed Knowmadic, and Edmonton’s only spoken word collective, Breath In Poetry, for a series of poetic responses to three current AGA exhibitions: WordMark: A New Chapter Acquisition Project, Faye HeavyShield: Calling Stones (Conversations), and Turbulent Landings: The 2017 NGC Canadian Biennial.

Gain new insight into exhibition themes through the poet’s thoughtful responses to each exhibition.

ActivateAGA is a new series of pop-up performances that activate your AGA in surprising ways and in unique places.

Artists in Conversation

Then join local artists Sergio Serrano and Dara Humniski as they discuss their current exhibition “Monument” at 7pm.

Join artists Dara Humniski and Sergio Serrano in conversation with Jessie Beier as they discuss their practice and new collaborative exhibition RBC Work Room: Dara Humniski + Sergio Serrano - Monument. In this hour-long program, the artists will hold an artist talk before leading visitors through a tour of the exhibition space.
