The Art Gallery of Alberta is getting ready for the opening of two new exhibitions on December 3: Season to Season, Coast to Coast: A Celebration of the Canadian Landscape and Hannah Doerksen: A Story We Tell Ourselves.

Everyone is invited to our exhibitions opening on Friday, December 2 at 7:30pm! Be sure to RSVP for the event.

Both exhibitions run from December 3, 2016 to February 20, 2017.

From far and wide, Oh Canada!

The AGA honours Canada’s 150th year with landscape paintings from the AGA Collection. Celebrate Canada’s terrain—from one side of the country to the other, in each of the seasons and all of their colours. Featuring works by Canadian painters such as:

  • Emily Carr
  • Dorothy Knowles
  • Cornelius Krieghoff
  • Lawren Harris
  • Tom Thomson
  • Horatio Walker
  • Sylvain Voyer
  • Peter von Tiesenhausen

The exhibition is organized by the Art Gallery of Alberta and curated by Laura Ritchie. Presented by Capital Powered Art, an exhibition series sponsored by Capital Power Corporation.
