Snap a photo, share on social & win

Take a photo of #yegdt to win a #Banff getaway package inspired by your AGA’s exhibition William Townsend: Painting Alberta, Details of Canada.

Artist William Townsend came to Canada for the first time in 1951 to teach painting in Banff, Alberta. Throughout the rest of his life he returned repeatedly to teach and paint in Alberta. We think you should return to Banff a time or two as well!

While in Alberta, Townsend also painted a series of views of Edmonton’s downtown from his apartment off of Jasper Avenue and 110 St., such as the one below.

We want you to share your best photo of downtown Edmonton. Post it on Twitter or Instagram with #agayegtobanff before Sunday, May 20, 2018

We will randomly select a winner from all eligible entries and they will receive a prize package to suit their next Banff visits, no matter the season.

Here's what you could win

  • 4 complementary tickets to your choice of great summer events at the Banff Centre
  • 1 Night's accommodation at The Moose Hotel (excluding long weekends, holidays, and the summer months)
  • $20 gift card to the White Bark cafe, located near the hotel
  • Miir Water Bottle/Flask and Toque donated by Patagonia
